Michael (Mick) McMorrow

Very sorry to hear now of Michael's death some weeks ago. A couple of years younger than me, and 3 years behind me in De La Salle, our paths crossed often growing up in Churchtown, beginning I think as altar boys in the parish. Ever the gentle character, it was always nice to chat with him when we would occasionally meet in the street or on rugby occasions over the years. My sincere sympathy to all his family, and Doyle and O'Connell cousins.

Very sad to hear about mick, he was a regular customer in our shop he loved his pottery ,may he rest in peace and our blessings to all his family,rip mick.

Mick was one of my oldest and closest friends. Time in his company passed quickly, whether playing tennis, watching a Leinster game, or just having a pint. I shall miss him terribly. To Deirdre, Orna, Charlie and Mary, heartfelt sympathy on your great loss from myself, Marion and Ruth.

I had the pleasure and joy of working with Mick over many years at AIB and also while he worked with me and the rest of the team at KPMG. Phenomenal man and outstanding professional who also had a good eye for GAA quality. Rest in peace

I only heard today of the very sad news of death of Michael. I remember well of being on the AIB tennis team with him that competed in the business houses tennis league. He was such a lovely person and also had a great smile and great fun. Sincere sympathy to all the family on his untimely death. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I was a year ahead of Mick in De La Salle, Churchtown, a lovely person, last saw him at a Blackrock Festival about 10 years ago, still the same nice person.

So sad to hear of Mick’s passing. I worked with him both in AIB and BoI, and learned much from his passion and integrity for all things data. Rest in peace.

It’s hard to express to you, Mary, Deirdre, Orna and Charlie, my heartbreak for the loss of Michael. He was, and will always be, an everlasting presence in so many lives of those he loved. I can’t look around my home and not see a bit of art, pottery, pictures or books that remind me of Michael and all of you. I’m richer in my knowledge of rugby, GAA, data, art, politics, coffee culture, wit and so much more because of him. Michael was to me a dear and special cousin and more importantly a true friend. I was so sad to hear about Mick', far far too young for such a truly lovely person. I worked with Mick in AIB at various times over the years and he was such a true gentleman , always interested to listen and guide and help others with a passion for Data Management. Still great for the wit and fun too when he wanted too for sure.

Mick played very enthusiastically in many games and club events over a number of years and was regularly down in the club supporting Orna and Charlie in their matches.
