One in a million
Rest in peace coach🙏
I remember Mick with such fond memories. Every Monday evening in the youth centre before the boxing started we’d have a little chat. A wonderful inspirational man that has truly earned his place in heaven. RIP Mick, sleep tight xx
We were beyond lucky to have been neighbours of Mick's for the last couple of years. He'd never fail in putting you in a good mood when you caught him for a chat on the way in or out of the house. Naturally enough, he'd usually chat about boxing - and his phenomenal coaching work with Edenmore Boxing Club, of which he was rightly very proud of. He was a great neighbour and an absolute gentleman, may he rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy Clare and family on the passing of your dad. I benefit from a friendship of the love he poured into you and his family.
Sincere condolences to your mum, brothers, the children and grandkids.
Much love xx
Margaret im very sorry to hear about your brother. Rip. Frances
I wish to send ny deepest sympathy at the passing of a Wonderful. Kind, Compassionate, and Caring Man who devoted so mant decades of his life to Edenmore Boxing Club. I had the pleasure of training under Mick firstly when I was 10-12 years old. Then 24-25 years old. Mick was a tremendous support to me in particular in my second time at Club especially as I was only new in recovery from alcoholism and his support, compassion was second to none. Will always have fond memories of my time training and learning under such a wonderful Man. May Mick rest in peace snd my prayers I extend to all his Family.

Rip mr o Driscoll thinking of all the family at this sad time
Mickey O'Driscoll, what an exceptional person. Your voyage through the the rough and tumbles of boxing and throughput your life will never be forgotten.

You brought an underdog club from nowhere to an international stage. A lot of people are aware of that and it's a well acknowledged fact.

However, the greatest example of your true worth is what you did for your darling wife in times of great difficulty. You always worked behind the scenes in an unassuming manner. A lot of people got more credit for a lot less.

They smiled for photographs with people who thought they were important, you just growled and got on it.

You were a grumpy old soldier, and you were a fantastic man. Ireland will be sad for ever more because we will never see the likes of you again.

Rest in peace. I am not religious, but i believe in angels. Always in my corner. God bless you. 🙌
Rip Mick the light of heaven shine on you always.sincere condolences to your wife and family at this sad time.
