Deepest condolences to all of Michael's family, particularly Sandra, on their terrible untimely loss. May he rest in peace.

Mike taught me so much about the importance of local commercial radio in Ireland. He was an invaluable and kind colleague and programme director. I am grateful to have known him and to have worked with him.

So saddened by the death of Michael. I listened very regularly to his broadasts. What a shock ! He passed away so quickly. All the family are in my prayers 💗 🙏 🌸

What a fantastic broadcaster. One thing he ALWAYS said at the end of every show. "GOD WILLING" which always stuck in my mind. I was stopped in my tracks, the last day he came on air to tell his listeners about his illness. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring. Taken far to soon. May Michael Rest in Peace.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Mike's terminal diagnosis and his death at such a young age. His courage and grace throughout were inspiring, and particularly so his final words on that moving pre-recorded broadcast. His was a true and courageous voice, his interviews probing but always fair. He was a champion for justice, for the forgotten and the vulnerable, and for the building of peace on this island. He will be sadly missed.

To Sandra and Luke sadly I never got to meet Michael but the amount of times I wanted to run in the door of LMFM But when I sent Michael my heart felt messages he was my voice and because of that I felt a little bit of peace and in the end Michael's last beautiful heartbreaking amazing interview with Pat O epitomed everything about him. Michael rest now 🙏 in peace 🕊️
