AN ODE TO MY DON CORLIONE

A Mhicheál,

Thank you for being part of my life, more than just being an uncle but also my Godfather. You may never believe it with the way I live my life but I always found inspiration looking at your achievements, and I've used it in such a way to make the most of my talents
You represented Cork in an All Ireland Hurling final (although I wanted to play for Kilkenny) , maximising your skills to reach your goal. I've represented Ireland in 3 sports, with you as one of my idols.

You made the most of your singing talents, either solo or with the GARDA Choir Band. I think your music gene passed onto me as I inherited your talent in my music development. Although my music taste wouldn't be most people's Cup of Tea, However it has driven to make the most of now. That I do, party thanks to you!!

You epitomised the perfect gentleman and family man. I always looked forward to you and Rosemary sending me something every year on my birthday and at Xmas. I'm 37 and still, your tradition never got old for me. There's no greater feeling in the world when one feels worthful and a sense of belongingness in life. I got that in abundance from you and your family.

Thank you for being my Godfather and an inspiration to me.
Slán go foill, your Godson, Brendan x

Deepest sympathy to Rosemarie and Deirdre and all Michael's family. He was an in creditable gentleman with so much talent and a heart of gold. It was a chance meeting at a music event that sparked a life long friendship. He was a performer with no equals. I will remember our recording sessions and long talks over the phone that always uplifted my spirit. He will be greatly missed by Janice and myself. May he rest in peace.

May you rest in total peace Mick REGAN!
You were the only man I ever met that played on the same team as the other great, Christy RING. Your girls told me, you were better than “great” and I believe it. Thanks too Mick for the odd “fiver” we exchanged on bets between the Rebels & the Déise over the past few years!
May Mick Rest In Peace, AMEN agus go raibh Dé bhfur Anam
