Mick taught me in Mercy College Woodford back in the 70 s > I think it was in first or second year. I have never forgotten him . R I P Mr Shaughnessy ....as we knew him then!

What an absolute gent Michael, RIP Sir, one in a million,
So sorry to hear of Michaels passing I live in monivea and years ago Michael was living in currantarmuid very near us when my dad was in hospital and michael was in with Teresa after her accident RIP my mam and michael met casually not realising they were neighbours and later he was teaching me he was such a gentle soul god rest him

Oh Michael, I hope you are proud of yourself now. You've got me crying here in the kitchen. You meant an awful lot to an awful lot of us, even though I was awful to teach. You took it in your stride. I've just read it now and reported it elsewhere. The comments are glowing .
