In Rememberance, Mick (Slippy) Walsh.

We were unrelated despite the surname, and we seldom addressed each other by our proper names. But we had a great affection for each other, thankfully renewed when my wife Marie and i attended Mary and the late Eamon Behans special wedding anniversary when I met Micks family for a church service and a great evenings event in Mileys place.
We soldiered together in the village football teams, school, minor and junior, and Slippy saved the puny goalkeeper on many an occasion from both certain reputational , and possible physical damage also.
Because he was a great footballer, a fierce defender and a passionate supporter of the GAA football game.
I extend my love to Sheila and all Mick's family , and his always lovely sisters Kit and Anna. His passing has left a hurt in my heart.
