No words of mine can could ever express the pain and sorrow you are going through right now having lost a Rathnure hurling legend from your midst. I know the fondness you hold for Mickey will never wane and he will never ever be forgotten. He was my inspiration and instilled in me a love of hurling. I have such wonderful and fond memories of him both on and off the field. I know you all hold similar wonderful memories and I ask that you hold them close to your heart as they will help you in the hard days, weeks and months ahead. May his soul rest in peace.
