Rest In Eternal Peace Mick. Thank you for all the craic over the years and your generosity, especially on your Christmas visits with cards and gifts for the kids. We will miss meeting you for a few. I played Back to Castleblaney to you last Saturday morning (18.11.23) & there you will return to Rest with your loved ones gone before you. A wonderful man,
From Castleblayney,
In the wonderful Co. Monaghan;
A man from the Emerald Isle,
Who always had a smile,
Helping people along,
As they travelled every mile.
Born to Mick & Alice,
One of three,
Mick, James & Benny,
Who all brought lots of glee;
I met him in the early 60's, in lovely London,
In a lovely place called Ealing,
Where he daily brought joy,
Giving others a great feeling.
He came to join his brother James,
Known as 'Yogi' to one & all,
Whenever I think of them,
Only good times I can recall;
There were lots of people from Castleblayney,
Arriving in Ealing at that time,
They all brought their joyful radiance,
Their peace, joy and sunshine.
I along with many others,
Visited him in his last days,
The smile and craic were still there,
His joyful personality filling the room in so many ways;
Now he's with the Divine,
With his parents & brothers still radiating sunshine,
With lovely God,
Still making our life journies easier and fine.
God bless Mick, Benny & Eilish, and all the rest of his family, and his so many many friends, both in England & Ireland, always in my prayers.
