My condolences to the family of Micko O'Dwyer.

To young to have seen him play in his 12 Munsters, 4 All-Irelands and 7/8 NFL and 3 Kerry titles but only saw him managing sides and even he achived so much in this reguard also not only with his native Kerry 75-89 but Kildare 91-94 and 98-02, Laois 03-06, Wicklow 06-11 and Clare 2013 bringing successes after so many lean years for them. The only sad part of his life was no All Star Award which was a crying shame.

Micko was a true legend of the sport and we will never see the likes of him again to achive so much and May Micko Rest In Eternal Peace

Sincere Sympathy to All The
O'Dwyer Family on the Passing of Michael, May He Rest in Peace,
Deepest condolence's to all of the O' Dwyer family, extended family, friends, players and those part of the life of the great Mick O' Dwyer. I'm deeply saddened by Mick's passing. As a Cork man when I think of football and how I developed a true love for it in my youth, then on as a player and now as a coach and in the years since. I see the gleaming green and gold, the sun shining in Kerry and the great teams Mick O' Dwyer played in and managed with Kerry and beyond. The storied rivalries between Kerry and Cork and Kerry and Dublin. He simply inspired me to love football, I never met him, but his love for football impacted my life through the amazing moments and memories he created through unwavering hard work, practice and polishing so many achievements throughout his life's football journey. Those values of making a positive difference in one's life, hard work, having pride of place and self and being ambitious always inspired me. It's a profound loss, but the memories of Mick will always live on for as long a Gaelic Football is played. We must remember that despite the fact we wear different colored club and county jersey's, we all love the game, and have so much in common. There is a lot to love and admire in one another through sport. That is what shapes us, it's how Mick loved us. Mick, your spirit is present in the breeze on the bays, mountains, echoes from GAA pitches in Kerry and beyond. Thank you Mick, rest in peace and never forgotten.
