Shocked and saddened to hear of Micky’s passing one of life’s through characters loved listening to Micks army stories from around the world.Loved seeing Mick come to Coa a real gentleman Rest In Peace Micky 🙏🙏

It is only today having thought of Micky today 9th Aug 25 that I searched his name up and to our great shock realised that he has passed. Micky was a kind soul . He visited Coa to see his cousin Pauline McDonald in the last 15 years . Then the contact was lost. My children remember fond memories of him. He had a great sense of humour. Rest in peace Micky . You were a breath of fresh air and had a hearty laught x

It was only today that I learned of Michael's passing. His positivity and good humour are what I remember most from his years working in the Chester Beatty. He was a kind, caring gentleman. Condolences to all his family, may Michael rest in peace.

Oh how I wish I could have been closer. I don’t know how it feels to lose your brother since I’m an only child. I feel the passing of Michael deeply since he has been in my life since I was six years old as my grandfather. I so miss my summer friend. In some ways, my heart is happy, knowing that he will be reunited with my grandmother, causing all sorts of ruckus in heaven together. Love you so much. Very sad to hear of Michael's passing, spent many years traveling up and down to Dublin on the early train with Michael when he worked at the Chester Beaty library. His knowledge of antiques, military medals, coins and stamps was unmatched. We had some interesting chats and many giggles. May he rest now in eternal peace.

I have fond memories of uncle Mick. I sympathise with aunty Pauline and uncle Charlie on the passing of your older brother and to Sue on the passing of her grandda and to all the extended O'Neill, Wilson, Mullins and Munsker/Thornton family and to all Mick's friends, neighbours and colleagues. Mick was a unique character full of facts and did you knows.... and the most terrible 'dad' jokes!! May the happy memories of him and the sound of his raucous laughter sustain you in your grief.
