I had the privilege of working alongside Michael at Nomix Enviro Ltd for over thirty years, right up to his untimely passing. Michael was always diligent, hardworking, professional and a pleasure to work with. Through thick and thin, his attitude remained unchanged, and I will sorely miss his easy charm, disarming smile, gentle good humour and sound guidance. As many have said before, he was one of life’s true gentlemen.
As often as not, we always found time to chat about families and acquaintances. I think people were Michael’s true passion; he delighted in meeting people and talked about them in a manner which made you feel that you had met them yourself. At the centre of this was his family, which he loved dearly and of which, in his own understated way, he was immensely proud.
Rest in Peace Michael; you were a one-off who will be greatly missed by all who knew you at Nomix. You will always be in our thoughts.
