I Had the pleasure of meeting Mike a few times, each time he was warm & welcoming, I could not ignore how attentive he was to you Elaine, I remember the last time we met both of you together, not long ago in Bloomfield Hotel, on a beautiful sunny July day...Mike was facing the lake and smiling ..ever the gent standing to greet myself and my daughter Brooke. This is how I remember him, I know you and Mike's family will have lots of lovely memories of Mike to fill your hearts on these sad days.

My thoughts and prayers are particularly with his beloved parents Larry, Joan, and his son Niall, also his extended family and many friends. We were very privileged to meet Mike through Elaine my daughter, several years ago and found in him a true gentleman who built up a very special and loving relationship with Elaine. Dearest Mike & your family I am beyond words. However, the shock and hurt remain for the loss of a lovely man who made me laugh and I think I made him laugh too. I know others, family and friends will have similar thoughts and feelings, but given the short time I knew Mike, he became a very special and dear friend.
