To all Mike’s family, his wife his kids, his mother and brother.Last week when the sad news broke that we had lost our great friend, colleague team mate husband, dad,son and brother we were all in tears like you all.
I know nothing will take away the pain that Mike is gone but I just want to say,i just want to say that Mike was hardworking,kind and the most genuine guy you could meet or to be in his company was a joy and a pleasure.
Mike was the total professional if he had a job you can rest assured it was done correctly and that applied to the gaa or work his ethos was simply do it right and a half job would not be accepted.
Mike had a unique skill he could get the best out of anyone and this was seen in his love for coaching.As a player Mike would go back from no one and give it 100% if you marked Mike you definitely would know it and one thing for sure you got No easy ball, if you were playing and Mike could see there was more in you, Mike told you in his own way and by god you won the next ball.Mike could turn his hand to any task and would not shy away from any task and this was apparent in his various roles over the years,Mike was one of the most helpful and generous people as the saying goes he would give you the shirt off his back .Mike having attended your funeral I think the turn out at the funeral said it all and showed the esteem that everybody held for you.Mike we are so grateful for the good times we shared.
