I was deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Mikey’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this time of great sorrow.
Uncle Mikey was a true gentleman—faithful, warm, and devoted to those he loved. His quiet humour, generous spirit, and strong faith were a blessing to all who knew him. I know how deeply he loves his dear wife Anna, and my heart especially goes out to her now. You were his world, and the care you gave him in return was a beautiful thing to witness over the years. Their bond was one of strength and deep affection, and I hope she finds comfort in the many cherished memories they shared.
My mother, Hannah, his beloved sister, shared a special closeness that will never be forgotten, and her stories of their childhood together were always filled with love and laughter.
Though I couldn’t make it in person from Australia, I’m so thankful I could watch the Mass on the live stream. It was a beautiful, heartfelt service and a fitting tribute to the kind and faithful man Uncle Mikey was. Seeing the family gathered together, hearing the prayers and music. I was with you all in spirit, saying my own prayers from across the miles.
We’ll miss Uncle Mikey dearly, but take comfort in knowing he’s at peace now, reunited with loved ones gone before, and resting safely in God’s care. May the angels lead him home, and may he watch over us all until we meet again.
