I got to know Michael when we were neighbors, in Aisling Heights Raheen when himself and Anne, Fidelma and Emma blessed us all with their presence. It was a blessing and a gift to meet Michael who was a faith filled man and served His God and others so well. I pray that Michael is now resting in eternal peace in his heavenly home and reunited with his beloved Anne and all gone before. In death we write lovely things about people, but I am so glad to have had the opportunity to have said to Michael face to face when he was with us of what I felt.I was glad to embarrass him by telling him many a Sunday at Sienna convent that he was a gentleman and a true Christian who lived his calling out truly.

During a difficult time Michael was a great ear of sound solid advice to me.

I will truly miss his gentle touch on both Pauline and I shoulders as we sat in the pew to listen to the Gospel.A gospel Michael truly put into action by his witness to his faith.
