Sincere sympathy and condolences to all Michael's family. He was an an amazing man, and Sean and I have many happy memories of time spent with your Dad. We will always take the time to reflect on those treasured moments. We know how much you will all miss him, and we will be thinking of you at this sad time.
On behalf of Paddy Murray & his family (from Moantrea), I wish to express our deepest sympathies on the passing of Michael. We met him briefly last summer at the Murray family gathering but we had the privilege of being seated at his table. He was a charming & gentle man and he gave a very moving speech on that occasion. May he rest in peace.
Dear Murray family,
I am really sorry for your loss. I pray you all God's comfort and consolation at this time of need and i pray your daddy a perfect and peaceful rest.

To all the Murray family and friends,
We share in the loss of a wonderful gentleman who graced your presence for many years. Unfortunately, my family only got to meet Michael just two years ago . . . and yet it felt like we knew him for ages. Our grandfather, Thomas James Murray, brought back pictures of Michael upon his return from a visit to Ireland. He was so dapper looking in his younger (and older) years. Those pictures of Michael and others, prompted us to make a visit about two years ago to meet Michael for the first time. We shall never forget him. His zest for life, for family, and his endearing sense of humor touched us all. Here in America, we mourn your and our loss. To Paul, Brian, and Anne, as well as Michael's family, please know that we keep you near and dear in our hearts and prayers. Please know that we will tell our tale of when we first met Michael to future generations. His memory will live on in all of us. We wish you much love at this difficult time.

Dear Paul and Anne,
Thinking of you all at this difficult time and praying that the Grace of God and our Loving Mother will carry you through. I can't attend Michael's removal or funeral as I am reading tonight at Mass and Adoration straight after but will offer this up for you I promise. Lord have mercy on his soul.
God bless,
Clodagh xx

God rest his soul. A lovely man and a great help whenever research into the old town of Youghal was called for. He had a tremendous memory and could name all the shops on the streets of his town in the 1930s. Michael was very encouraging to younger members of historical societies. We shall miss him a lot.
