Mr. Michael Norton, Head of Finance in Emirates Group Dubai till 1987/88, was not only very good looking and genial but also a very effective, professional leader, kind and religious, which endeared him even more to all. I recollect warmly his visits to our dept during his few trips to Dubai. He will be surely and sorely missed by all. May God bless his soul, his family and his dear ones.

In Michael I have lost a true friend and like wise so have you Mary Lou. Our friendship goes all the way back to 1957 and how I miss you now Mick. Sincere sympathy to all the Norton family but rest assured that Mick will have a seat at the top table in Heaven

Very saddned to learn of Michael Norton passing away. He was technically my manager at Emirates for many years, but in reality much much much more. A bundle of talents & virtues, he was a role model I looked up to in every which way. His was the strongest influence in my quest to be a better person. Indeed, a part of Michael Norton spirit remains a good part of me. He was in regular touch with me and will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences to a very dear Michael Norton. Michael was instrumental to me entering the airline industry. He was kind hearted, empathetic and loved his work. Honest to the core, he stood up for what was the righteous thing to do at all times. Michael stayed in touch long after we both left Emirates. He will always be remembered lovingly. May his soul rest in peace. God grant grace to his family to bear the departing of a very loving father figure.

When he worked in the UAE together with his time in Africa he continued to keep in touch on a regular basis. He was more of a friend than my boss in those days. A first class chartered accountant .
