Thank you for all of your kind messages & words of comfort. Hard to believe that Dad's been gone a month.. We miss him terribly, but just as he was always there for us we believe that he is still with us, & although things have a new rhythm without him & there are & will be sad times, we will focus on so many wonderful memories of a great father, grandfather, friend & neighbour. Thank you once again for all of your support.

Heaven has a new angel. Mickey was one-of-a-kind. Gentle, interested, and generous with his time and talents. In 1980, I had a minor fender bender in my Mom’s car. My parents, Jim and Ethna, were out-of-town. I was upset and called Mickey. He came right over, took a look at the front fender damage, went into our garage, and came out with a hurley and a hammer. He knocked out the dent in 10 minutes. He said, “say nothing”. I never said anything, and my parents never noticed. Our little secret is out Mickey. I will miss you. We all will. Rest in Peace. To all the O'Farrell Family,

It is with our most sincere and heartfelt condolences we offer to you all on the passing of your lovely Dad, Grandad, brother & friend, Michael.

He was a gentlemen that would bring a lovely sense of joy & happiness during his visits to our unit in Connolly Hospital.

We all took such great pleasure in caring for Michael & he made it very easy to do so. His presence felt like you were talking to a friend, we all had many laughs with Michael through the stories we all shared, he'd ask about our holiday trips when he would notice we'd be missing for any lenght of time and our families. He would take great pleasure in telling us proudly about his family, who may be visiting soon or who had just been to stay. He shared with us about his years in America and about coming back home to Ireland, all of which we all loved to hear about.

We will miss him very much.
It was always a joy to care for Michael.

May he Rest Perfect Peace.
