Michael was a leader of unwavering honesty and integrity - a thorough gentleman! Throughout the 30+ years since he employed me in Savings and Investments, he was not only a remarkable boss but also a true mentor who guided us with his wisdom, kindness and his unerring focus on looking after our customers. His command of the English language reflected the clarity and sincerity with which he led us. His personal notes of encouragement and appreciation, had lasting impact. I am forever grateful for the lessons and inspiration he provided. He was so respected by staff, industry colleagues - such a very genuine man

Loret and family , it was with great sadness to hear of Michael’s passing . I was fortunate to be a member of the Colleges Volunteer Corps during his time as Corps Commander , to serve on his executive , and to eventually replace him on his recommendation . I learnt a lot from him, his attention to detail and to setting high standards of performance expectation . He was a great support to me during my term of service whenever advice was sought . He has always been a good friend and it was a pleasure to sit beside him and catch up at the most recent annual Corps Commanders dinner . We will all miss him and his engaging conversation. Rest in peace Michael.
