My sincere condolences to Maureen and Noel and to all of Haulie’s friends and neighbours. Although I had a couple of years on Haulie we grew up together in St.Michaels Villas back in the 50s/60s. I always remember him as a lovely pleasant guy,and so talented. I often regret that our paths rarely crossed since I left Ennis in 1970. Ar dheis De go raibh a Anam Dilis.

I was in Micael's class in Ennis. He was a superb athlete. His heroics on the hurling field seemed effortless. When competing against other schools we could feel proud of Ennis CBS because we had Haulie. Thanks for the memories. Rest in Peace Michael.

Many condolences to the entire family. I worked with Michael in Whites of Wexford a true gentleman with a kind word for every patron through the door. As a 20 year old man at the time i learned alot from him not just about bar work but life itself. He will be sadly missed.

Even though we went to different schools, I have lovely memories of meeting up with Haulie & the late Paddy Neylon almost every day after school for coffee & buns & plenty of gossip in each other’s homes. Haulie was a superb athlete, who excelled at every sport he ever tried. May he rest peacefully.

I worked with Mike in Heathrow post house hotel in the late 70s. He was a superb food and beverage manager who was much respected by all the staff. For those of us who attended Ennis CBS in the late 60s and early 70s Haulie was a true sporting hero. An excellent sprinter and a member of a very successful school sprint relay team but it was as a hurler that most of us will remember him.
