Condolences to the O'Meara family on the death of their father Michael. He was a true legend and one of my heros. He lived such a wonderful life; farmer, actor, hurler, GAA enthusiast and a great Lorrha man.
Michael used to visit our late mother in Bonoham in her final years and I loved those visits. What a wonderful story teller, he would go back to his old school days in Rathcabbin, providing excellent entertainment with his brilliant impressions recalling old characters having us all in throes of laughter. He had us in stitches with his tales and we hung on his every word!
What a great actor with Rathcabbin players and so instrumental in the acquiring of moatfield - a huge success for Lorrha. Goodbye to a great great man. RIP

It was my privilege to visit Michael every First Friday for eight years. What a legend. He was three years old when Michael Hogan was shot in Croake Park. He wore a wrist band with the words O mo Dhia written on it. A great human being. R.I.P.
