Sincerest condolences Mary, David, Killian on the death of your Dad Michael. I had the privilege of knowing Michael over the last number of years through the Morning Star Hostel. He was a most gracious man. He would help with the washing up or preparing the vegetables. He was a great Gaeilgóir and taught Irish in the men's shed and he also taught English to foreigners to help them get employment. He told me that he first came to help in at the hostel in 1961. He also told me that they were let out of school to see the last British ship leave Cork in 1938. I am fortunate to have known Michael.

Deepest sympathies Mary, David and Killian on your dad’s passing. I was so fond of your dad. I loved talking to my students about what a wonderful uncle I had who gave so much of his time to do charity work. I have lovely memories of him talking about his art. May your dear dad rest in peace.
