Sincere sympathy to the O'Sullivan family on the passing of Michael. He was a good few years ahead of me at our cadet college at Cahergariffe N.S. We caught up with one another later on in life and had many a laugh and joke over a pint of guinness. I would leave his company longing to meet him again on my next trip home from "away", I always did meet him.

So sorry to hear about Michael, he was a regular in the SuperValu cafe, and every so often would come in with gifts for us all, bottles of Bailies, chocolates, wine etc he was a very generous and kind man.

We count ourselves blessed to have been Michael’s neighbours. He was a considerate man who couldn’t have been kinder to our children and they will miss their chats with him, as will we. He was very much a part of everyday here and we will miss him dearly. We’d see him head off for his evening walk& he always came for a chat on his return. I was so sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. He was a truly lovely man, warm, good-humoured, a true gentleman. I always looked forward to meeting him on occasion on one of his many trips to Bolton Hill to visit the Cogan Clan. I was very lucky to have shared a laugh, the odd bit of craic & even sing a song with Michael — even if he never quite knew what to make of me at times.
Michael will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I fondly remember his unique and humorous ability to cut through the unnecessary fluff and call out pretentiousness. His perspective always brought a smile, even in serious moments.
