Aww Moira I'm just looking through RIP to find funeral arrangements for a friend and I noticed you buried Michael. Moira I am sooo sorry to hear this sad news. Michael was a gentleman and you were sooo good to him, like Father and daughter. I'll never forget all the times you took him to my house and how he loved to go for drives with you. He always spoke highly of you and your family. I remember you telling me how good he was to you when your going on holiday's . Moira the next time your around Wexford please call and stay as long as you want. Michael was truly very lucky to have you in he's life as I know now what it's like to live alone. God bless Moira. Condolences to Michaels relations and friends. I encountered Michael for first time way back in the late sixties. Very laid back and quiet. The years proved he was just really a genuinely nice man. Michael may you walk in the presence of the Lord. RIP.

We get reminders everyday through occurrences that add perspective to our own existence, but losing a friend is one of the most powerful.

Such occurrences invite us to think about our brevity on this planet. We question our meaning, our rituals, our kindnesses, and guilt ourselves for not doing better.

If anyone should be allowed to leave this planet with no such guilt it should be Michael Pollard. It would be tough to find a kinder heart on earth: a more selfless soul who offered nothing but his best to everyone, all the time.

Michael, you were always there: politely refusing tea and cake, predicting the weather, driving head-tilted as we explored our little world together.

Our little world got a lot smaller when you left it, but my heart it grew with sorrow.

I’ll try my best, Mick, to follow in your footsteps and live a life of kindness: being kind to myself and those around me, and to the world itself.

RIP Michael Pollard - you'll be deeply missed by the Noonan/Fitzpatrick clan.
