My deepest sympathies to his daughters and family, may he rest in peace.

Lisa and Aimee, I have just learned of Michael’s passing too late to attend the service. I grew up with Michael in Athlone and we both experienced a lot of ‘firsts’ during the 60’s. During my early years in Dublin I was a regular visitor at Cathal Brugha barracks where Michael then lived with his parents. We continuously bumped into one another over the years since and he never failed to talk about his treasured daughters of whom he was immensely proud. The world will be a poorer place in the absence of your kind, gentle and caring father who is now reunited with your mother, Clare.
— Dan Egan
