My condolences to Nora and family on this awful tragedy. I hope that in time your pain will ease. What a loss it must be, to lose someone of Mick's qualities. I spent a lot of time with him, as younger men, I always felt happy to have him around me. A solid loyal teammate at all times and always pleasant company.

My sincere sympathy to Norah and family also the extended Gallagher and Reidy families on the death of Michael. May he Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Norah, Sinéad, Diarmúid, Colm and all of the Gallagher and Reidy families. Mike was a gifted educator and wonderful colleague and friend. He was held in the highest regard by all those who knew him for his talent, skill and not least his kindness and willingness to help. The world is the poorer from his passing. Mike was a unique human being whose place will never be filled. We think of Mike with great fondness and feel enriched to have had such an outstanding colleague and friend.
Thoughts and prayers are with Norah and the whole family at this time. I have so much appreciation and respect for Mike’s coaching over the years, his steady running of time trials, eagerness to share knowledge on boats and kind words of encouragement. He will be truly missed and fondly remembered.
Sincere sympathy to Norah, Sinéad, Diarmúid, Colm, Joan, Mary, and Naoto on the very sad passing of Michael.
Great memories of him back in Reidy's when we were kids, the home made pool table with coloured golf balls down in the basement.

I was so sorry to hear of Mick’s passing. He was such a wonderful colleague — always witty, full of great stories, and able to lift your mood no matter what kind of day you were having.
He spoke so proudly and lovingly of his wife and children; it was clear how much his family meant to him. Working with him was an absolute pleasure, and his warmth and humour made a lasting impression on everyone around him.
He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all of us who were lucky enough to know him. My heartfelt condolences to Norah and family during this difficult time.

Sincere condolences to all the Reidy family. Suaimhneas siorraí dá anam uasal.
Such terribly sad news to hear of Mike's passing. Back in 1980, I rowed with Mike for Tribesmen at the Irish Championships. Before that I rowed against him when I was at the Jes and he at the Bish. I rowed against him when he was at UCG and I at Tribes. We had many a great battle back then. Many years later, I used to meet Mike regularly at regattas when we were coaching our respective clubs. Mike was a great oarsman and coach, but much more importantly he was a gentleman. He always expressed himself with great dignity and respect for others. Mike will be missed by all those he touched, but most of all by his family. My deepest sympathy to his wife Norah, his children, grandchildren and all his extended family.
Rest in peace Mike.

My deepest condolences to Mike’s family on your unimaginable loss. Mike coached the UCD senior crew in 1990-91, a time when the crew was in a rebuild mode. He was just the man we needed! Supremely competitive , he was generous, thoughtful and inspiring, always with a great sense of humour. It was always a pleasure to meet him on the bank and at events in recent years. I’m so sorry for your loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Deepest sympathy to all of the Reidy family on the sudden passing of Michael, may he rest in peace and rise in glory
Mick was a giant of a man in every way. Those of us living in Park Drive/ Park Avenue were assured of two regular occurrence’s in our lives, the foxes would come out at night time and Daisy and Buttons would take Michael Reidy on multiple walks throughout the day. Always good for a chat, he could relate on any subject, however without doubt our conversations honed in fairly rapidly on how our adult children were doing, where they were in their lives and when the grandchildren started coming along, we both realised how privileged we were. Shocked as everybody is by the suddenness of Michael’s death, it was both sad
and lovely to visit and meet his family in the warmth of his home.
RIP good man, you were there amongst the winners when the final whistle blew.

Mike was always so generous with his time, gave great advice and was such a friendly face to see around the club. Our thoughts are with Norah and family.
Norah, so very sorry to hear the news of Michael's passing. Praying for you all at this time.
Dear Norah, Sinéad, Diarmuid and Colm, we are so so sad with this shocking news of your beloved Michael’s sudden death.
You will all miss Michael so much as he was a real doer, he always was doing for everyone. We have great long memories of him contributing to the Family Group for years. He was always first to volunteer and always so willingly. His lovely twinkling eyes and his real quirky sense of humour, he always had something to add. He was full of fun and so kind and we will never forget that. It’s so nice that he made by hand the Jesse tree pieces for our church and we will hang them up in a few weeks time. It is heartbreaking.
We saw his kindness in action so many times, we will miss him so much. May his lovely gentle soul rest in peace, till we all meet again in the great mystery beyond this world.

Norah,
I am so so saddened by this awful news, my memories of yourself and Mike go way back to Lullymore Tce days, when you and Mike spent your days training hard for the Irish team, boiling chicken to make weight. It was fun times though. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers at this dreadful time.

A warm, intelligent and interesting man. Always a smile and willing to chat on the road. The epitome of decency.
Watching him walking Daisy and Buttons on the road. Often it was more like a three-way tug of war. Those girls will miss him terribly too.
Suffice to say he will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered.
A fitting epitaph for a true gentleman.

Norah, Mary and all of the family, I was so so sorry to hear of Mike's terrible accident. I have such good memories of our time in UCG. Mike was a great coach and mentor, who put up with our shenanigans with such good humour. I'm sorry I couldn't get to the funeral as I am in Boston having rowed the HOCR. I wouldn't be here without Mike's start! Ar deis Dé go raibh a anam x
