From when we were children Michael was always someone we looked up to and respected. He had time for us all. The last time I met him was at the North Kildare RFC lunch and as ever he had time for a chat. Such good company. Always interesting and interested. Very sorry to see him go. It was with the greatest sadness we learned of the death of our old friend Michael. We’ve known Michael for over 50 years and have such lovely memories of lots of occasions with himself, Bridget and his brother Trevor. Our deepest deepest sympathy to dear Bridget, Johnny, Jennifer, Louise and Amy on his sad passing.. May his lovely kind soul rest in peace. So sad we can’t attend his funeral as we are away. We're so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. A true gentleman. I have great memories of Michael in The North Kildare Club, from a very young age, to very recently, and really enjoyed working with him in his tenure as Club President on the many capital projects for which he always encouraged me to keep going on with...... always optimistic, always positive, always supportive, always progressive, nothing was a problem... a great attitude all round. He will be greatly missed in NK, he had great vision for the future of NK and thankfully he got to see many milestones along the way. May he rest in peace. Fergal.
