I have known Mike for many years and always enjoyed an occasional chat with him while sharing and exchanging local history in particular the War of Independence in Athlone and midlands. Mike was alway’s fascinated to learn the extent of knowledge and detail his mother Mary (Moll Gorman) had with regard to the War of independence in particular the shooting and execution of Brig Gen George Adamson in Irishtown.
