Our thoughts are with the entire Morgan family on the sad loss of Michael Snr. Always a pleasure to have met and chat about the escapades of the intertwined Morgan and Minto families. Great friends of the Minto’s, with Micky a dear friend of late Val and the late Maureen friend of the late Teresa Minto (my mum), we have lovely memories of spending time together on our frequent childhood trips to Dundalk. Condolences to Michael, Ann, John, Declan, Linda, and all the Morgan clan.

Uncle Michael was a wonderful uncle—kind, funny, and never short of a good story. He was a passionate joiner, and his workshop was truly his happy place. Every time we returned home to Dundalk, a visit to Golden Heights (Rockmarshall) was always on the cards. Uncle Michael would proudly take us through his workshop, showing us his latest projects with enthusiasm.

With Dominic being a carpenter/joiner himself, the two would often dive deep into conversation, sharing tips and stories—once they got started, it was hard to get a word in!

We feel so blessed to have been home two years ago and were able to celebrate Uncle Michael’s 90th birthday. It was a fantastic party filled with laughter and memories we will always treasure.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He will be sorely missed by all the Morgan clan, near and far.

May he rest in peace.
