It was an honour to have known this wonderful man. Such a privilege to have listened to many stories of his travels and was always a joy to see him in Church in Birmingham. He will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael in London with my sister Mary, he also came to visit us here in Claregalway, Co. Galway. We really enjoyed his company.
The last time we had spoken I begged him to come visit when he moved to Kerry.

Michael first made contact with me following the sudden death of my brother (John Doyle) in 2017. Michael and John had worked together in London. We met for the first time later the following year and as I got to know Michael it sometimes felt that I had lost one brother and gained another. He was unique and a true gentleman as is apparent from the large and varied network of loyal friends he had. May God rest his kind and gentle soul.

Michael , how on earth I got so lucky to have been given your number 24 years ago by a man in Homebase! You helped me take furniture to the tv set when I was just beginning life and was far from home . We were pals instantly and so began our adventures!
Thank you giving me the best memories , for the love , the giggles and chats over tea. For helping me clear my garage so many times I can’t remember , for fixing my car, for cutting down branches off my tree, for driving me and the props to jobs , for the walks with Lola and our unforgettable trip to Paris and so much more.
The worlds loss is heavens gain. Until we meet again… and have another adventure I’m sure ❤️
