There are only a few people, I've encountered, in my lifetime, that I can describe as a true gentleman. Mick is one, whom I can honestly say, was one of them. We only worked together for the last few years of his time in éir. But he proved, in that time, what a genuine soul he was. Fondest memories, and saddest feelings, on the loss of a true friend. Rest with the angel's Mick.

Lots of fond memories over the years in his company at family events and time spent at Christmas especially.

Deeply saddened by Mick's passing. I had the pleasure of working with and assisting Mick when we were working in the Department of Post and Telegraphs. He was a pleasure to work with. I have a lot of fond memories of my time working and and doing evening Telecommunications Courses in college with him. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to his relatives and friends. I felt privileged to watch Michael’s beautiful requiem mass from London .... My mother born Anne Sinnott of Munny near Gorey was a sister of Michael’s father.
