Dad, I hope we are making you proud everyday and fulfilling all your wishes that you’ve past down onto us. I think and dream about you all the time and in that way I know you’re near.

I’m so happy you got a lovely service for the funeral surrounded by those who loved and had the laughs with you.

I’m sure you are causing ruckus up at the pearly gates with your pals, Grace and Grandad !

Throw in all the strangers you’ve been kind to, the people you’ve made laugh or inspired along the way and that star-bright network of you would be an impressive sight to behold. You were so much more than you thought you were. You have done so much more than you realised. You’ve trailed a bright pathway that you didn’t know about. What a man, my brother-in-law, what a man.

You are now the brightest star in the sky.

There will always be a bond between us. Whenever I look up to the moon and the stars , I’ll think of you.
Remembering you is easy but missing you is a heartache.

Mick, you were so much more than a son in law. You were a best friend too. Our personal maintenance man. A bike partner. Great trips abroad and spins on a Sunday morning. Days spent out in the shed working on projects that will forever be unfinished.
