Michael (Tommy) Maloney

I’m so sorry to learn about Tommy’s death so late after his passing. I had the great pleasure of working with him in Bull Alley in the 1970s. He was a wonderful man of great good humour, always helpful and positive. He was a role model for staff and students alike. His laughter helped us through many a challenge and his smile will stay with all knew him. My deepest sympathy to all his family and friends.

Tommy was.such a friend to me when I joined The Liberties College. He could see I needed a friend and that’s what he was to me. I would have made many a mistake if it wasn’t for Tommy Tommy was always smiling and patient. It was so good to meet Tommy again at our get togethers and I remember so well the day he showed us around, with such pride, the church he was buried from. I deeply regret I could not be there on the day but I will always remember Tommy as a true friend and I know, some one like that, is deeply missed indeed. Elizabeth

My deepest sympathy to the Maloney family. Tommy was a wonderful person and a great character. I was fortunate to have worked with him, in my early days in Liberties Vocational School. He was a great asset to a rookie teacher. Tommy brightened up the staffroom and the school with his great humor and wit. "Ni bheidh a leithead ann aris"
