Michael Ward

Though we only lived across from Mike for one year, we both knew he was a special man. He invited James in for a friendly drink and chat when scoping the area before we purchased. Mike was obviously very socialable and expressed his disappointment of missing our "welcome neighbours, afernoon tea party" last year. He had been away getting some winter sun at the time! We miss friendly greetings and chats with him from across the road. He is definitely a big loss to the neighbourhood. RIP Mike.

Sharon, Tom & John, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's sudden passing. I have only fond memories of the happy times we cousins spent together as children growing up. Thinking of you all at this difficult time with my heartfelt sympathy.

Still in disbelief about your sudden, early passing, it has been such a pleasure knowing you Mike.

We always had great conversations and spent true quality time.

Whether in Munich cooking an Irish stew, exploring Beijing and surroundings on an old BMW sidecar motorbike, going on Safari in South Africa to spot the big 5, or our last meet-up in La Rochelle, cycling around île de Re.

You have been full of joy for life and a true inspiration for living your life to the fullest.

Your annual Christmas cards have been such a beautiful way of keeping up the connection.

Thanks a million for all the joy and good vibes you spread.
