Michael was a lovely caring man and a true Irishman in every sense of the word. My first meeting was seeing him in 1956 perched on a wall in Clonmel wearing his school uniform and cap. Over the subsequent years we had a host of 'jars' and laughs together. Hope you are indeed around here somewhere having that promised Mallorcan holiday with me!
RIP Michael. Sadly missed.

I miss you so much already an uncle in a million and such fond memories Dublin will never be the same again. And I will keep my rings on my fingers and rings on my toes and as you said we were the Mulroy gypsies.... Love you Uncle Michael xx Colleen and boys ur favourite British niece as you called me xxxxxxx
As a child, I was aware of your existence as the uncle that either had a pub in Cork, a shop in Dublin or was in Austrailia.....I never really knew you....... As an adult I grew to know you, to love you and I can't believe you're gone. I am so happy that I got to spend time with you, both in Ireland and America, that you were at my wedding and that you got to meet Fran. He loved you too, Michael. I know I have a lot more to say but for some reason all I can hear right now are the words of your wisdom, "Tara, keep it simple". I will: I love you!!! I'll be listening to your message lots.
