I was so lucky to have Micheal and Atty as landlords when I was in college in Drumcondra.
Micheal was jovial, friendly and so welcoming. Our parents had great piece of mind with us having Micheal as our landlord. He would love to speak about holidays in America years ago, gaa games times he was in Laois seeing Conroys in Drim .
He is now reunited with his beloved Atty.

He came staright away and put a plan in action. I found him to be a gentleman and nice neighbour always. We are grateful to have had him nearby and blessed for the work he did.

Condolences to the extended McGowan family at this sad time. I met him in Boston in the late 70s. He was great fun and a character. My father Mick Traynor often spoke generously and humorously about Micheál Mc Gowan and their times in Sligo many years ago

Micheál was a great character, I remember when he came home on holidays from London many years ago. He drove a white mini bus which locally was referred to fondly as the "ambulance". He brought us all to dances from Sligo to Bellmullet .
