In loving memory of Michelle Power
In the summer of 1979 I visited Ireland for the first time with a group of friends. Our first stop was Tintern Abbey. There was a trailer between the houses. This was probably Michelle's first small shop. I bought a green and a white sweater made of sheep's wool from her there and I still have them to this day.
In the following years I visited Ireland with my family and a friendship began to grow between us and the Power's. I will always remember her happy laughter as we chatted in the shop or had a cup of tea in the kitchen with her parents and her brother Dominic.
When she could no longer walk, she still maintained her cheerfulness. Our two sons Jonas and Robin helped her a little in the shop. Put packages on the shelves or sort the coins in the cash register. Afterwards they always received ice cream as a thank you.
Michelle, we miss you very much, but your memory will stay with us forever.
