We were deeply saddened by the news of Mick's passing. Mick showed us what irish craic is all about. And we truly had a lot of craic together in all the years since we first met in O'Donoghue's in 2002. Mick was a fatherly friend to me during my aupair time in Ireland. During the numerouse reunions that followed in Dublin, in Fuerteventura and at the fleadh cheoil in Sligo, Mick also took my family, many of my friends and my boyfriend Marco to his heart. We are already looking forward to our next visit to O'Donoghue's. We know that there, we will feel his always firm and heartfelt hugs. We know that there, at the metal grille of his favorite corner, we will hear the clacking of his finger ring to the music. And we know that there, we will perceive his always preached "mantra": Friends forever! RIP Mick. Our sincere condolences to the Doyle family.
May I offer my sincere condolences to Mick's extended family and friends.
I'm very sorry to read of his death. RIP.
Another familiar figure now gone from Bray's environs.
Mick was well known to me as a long time reader and visitor at Bray Library.
We also frequently hailed each other as he passed by on his bike, on the Dargle Road.
Rest easy, Mick!

No words can ease the pain when you have lost someone beloved. To know that Mick will live on in the hearts of so many of his friends around the world might be a small comfort to you.
Mick was one of the reasons why O'Donoghue's always felt like a home away from home.
His warm-heartedness and great sense of humour will be dearly missed. Mick's laugh will always be remembered.
Sending my sincerest condolences from Germany

Uncle Mick, you were always the life of the party. I fondly remember a very long day and night out with you during World Cup qualifiers many years ago that involved innumerable pints of Guinness. I remember you playing football with me when we visited when I was younger as well as our time together in Australia. We were hoping to see you when we visit next year. Sadly we'll miss you but will make sure to have a pint in your honor.
Rest in Peace

So sorry to hear of Micks passing. Its quite a while since I was in O Donoghues but I often had a chat with Mick on the bus home to Bray and I would see him around Bray the odd time. May he rest in peace.
Very sorry to hear that Mick has passed away. He was such a nice man. We’ll miss his big smile and great welcome every time we visited O’Donoghues. The place won’t be the same without him. Condolences from Kerstin and Ketil in Norway
My brother Mick was a larger than life character and I always said I could write a book about him and his escapades over the years, especially when he was younger. We had many a great hooley together in his flat in Dublin where he would invite all and sundry. He was always the life of the party and full of craic. He was living in Australia when we came here and we had great craic together here too.
He was very kind to our Mother when she was old and unwell. He would sit with her and the two of them would reminisce about Auld Dublin and sing songs. Since I couldn’t be there I will always be grateful to him for that.
Sadly the “Tyranny of Distance” prevented us from seeing each other very much in the last years.
Myself, Paddy and Conor will miss you Mick.
