Rest in Peace, Mick, and Rise in Glory with your brother John,
Wonderful people committed to their community.
Sincere condolences to the Gallagher family on the passing of Mick, especially coming so soon after John. Many the great nights banter we had in Toner's and Nesbitt's over the years. A real gentleman and a great character. May he Rest In Peace.
Great memories of Mick from Dept of Agriculture over the years. Loved his wit and chats. We were at his retirement and bumped into him around town quite a bit. One day on a cold frosty morning he told us he was feeling under the weather and was going for a cure! The cure turned out to be a dip into freezing cold water and he said it was the best cure of all! Sincere condolences to all his family on the great loss of Mick and his gentle brother John. Two of the best characters that hailed from the Liberties. Rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to all his family. A true gentleman and great character.
RIP Mick
Many great chats and laughs in Machine Room at Agriculture House. Always obliging. One of life’s great characters.
Sad to hear of Mick's passing. He is with John. Great character in Dept of Agriculture. Rest in peace
So sad to hear of Mick's passing. I had the odd breakfast in the print room on the mini grill with Mick and more than a few beers with him in ODonoghues and Foleys over the years in Ag. A true gentleman - RIP
Sincere sympathy to Mick's family. I knew him in Agriculture House. A great character. Candle lit in his memory.
Remember Mick well from his days in the Machine Room in Ag House. Always very helpful and a great character.
Sorry to hear of his passing.
RIP
I was very sorry to hear of Mick's death and so soon after John. I knew of Mick mostly through John, who spoke of him with such affection and pride. I was struck always by the happiness and laughter between the two that I would hear when I phoned to speak with John. My sincere sympathies to the Gallagher family on the loss of Mick.
Met Michael many times while he visited his brother Johnny he was always a gentleman. My sincere sympathies.
So sorry for your sad loss. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
Sad to hear the news. I've known Mick since I started work in the Dept of Agriculture in 1971 but I hadn't seen much of him after we both retired at different stages in more recent years. He was a great character, good fun to be with and a true gent. He will be truly missed. My sincere sympathy to all his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
A great Dublin character. It was a pleasure to work with you in ag house. You were so funny. Rip Mick. legend.
Thinking of all the Gallagher family at this sad time so soon after John. RIP Mick
We extend our sympathy to all the Gallagher family on Mick's death - so soon after John's passing! When John went into the nursing home, Mick took over his job of collecting our newspapers each morning from the local shop - God bless them both for their gift of being early risers! So, we had the opportunity of meeting him each day. The Coombe will not be the same without their presence. We were enriched and blessed to know them and they will not be forgotten by us in heart and prayer. From Anna, Colette, Hilda, Jacinta and Jane.
This really is the End of an Era.
Rest in Peace Mick. So many great memories and as it was with Peter, Betty, Johnny, Millie and Phil, the Friday nights and weekends that were filled with laughter and fun and plenty of quiz questions are now just that, memories but happy memories never to be forgotten.
There will never be another like Mick, of that there is no doubt. He was a character
