I remember his generosity most. He would always have a pocket full of coins waiting to give to me, to be spend in the sweet shop. I have very fond memories of Mick, sitting on his usual spot in Newlawn, beside the Aga. So kind and well natured, the nicest man you could have met. May he rest in peace.

I am so very sorry to hear that mick has died. My sympathy to the Walsh's in newlawn. Mick was such a humble man much of his work for the special needs kids over many years went unseen. He really was the proverbial unsung hero .
