One of lifes true genuine and gentle person. Had a crush on him years ago which is a story he shared with my brother Anthony. Anthony used to bring him to dialysis. In latter years we would bump into each other in Flynns or Hughes and have a great chat.

I'm so deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Mike McDonagh . He was a truly lovely man, and I feel fortunate to have known him. I have some great and vivid memories of him from my grandfather’s house in Old Mervue. Mike had a wonderful way about him—kind, good-humoured, and always postive . I remember the joy and energy he brought whenever he joined a game of cards (changem) or a game of Hurling in the green . RIP Mike Mc from Joker
