Our sincere condolences to Kim and all of Mike’s family and friends on the passing of Mike at this sad time.

Fond memories of Mike’s visits to Lisbawn where we really enjoyed his humorous and interesting stories. A real gentleman.

May Mike’s gentle soul rest in peace.
My deepest sympathies to Kimberley and all of Mike's family and friends. Mike the pilot lives long in my childhood memories at The Point. His great laugh and his booming voice saying..."Katie girl! How the hell are ya!". When I was small I believed him when he said the pilots can see you as they fly over Valentia harbour and I used to shout up "Hi Mike The Pilot" to the jets passing overhead. Slán abhaile Mike... May he rest in peace. Much love. Katie xx

Deepest sympathy to Mike’s family. Remember meeting Mike many, many years ago in the Anchor Bar in Pauline Maguire’s time when he was between flights - I think he was wearing a flying jacket that belonged to his late father. Very modest - he told me he had only take off & land & the autopilot did the rest! Lovely man to meet & talk to - may he rest in peace.
It won’t be same in the O’Neill household not getting the Christmas phone call from Mike. He would always say: “Mike! Bridie! How the hell are ya!” My childhood is filled with memories of Mike, one of my favorites was him explaining to me in detail how planes were built and how they fly over a pint of Guinness at the bar- I was about 8! He’ll be missed. Sending love from California. Xoxo

I will miss your phonecalls, I will miss seeing you on my trips to Florida, I will miss "What's the temperature by you" whether it was Renard or Fort Lauradale. We disagreed on politics, but we always remained civil! You shared so many stories of your life achievements as a pilot, your amazing world travels, and stories of my ancestors. You always had time for my mother and I will never forget that. You would give the shirt off your back with your kindness. God Bless you Mike xoxo. Condolences to you Kim and the Sheehy Family.
