My deepest sympathies to Miriam's family and friends. I worked with Miriam through Spraoi and during her time as a member of the Arts Council. She was kind, joyful and generous to all. Her passing is a great loss for many different communities, including the arts in Ireland. May she rest in peace.

To Christopher, Liz, Molly and Leo and to Miriam’s sister and brothers and all extended , I wish to express my very sincere sympathy on her passing. It’s hard to put down and acknowledge the loss of a classmate of our Bilingual days in Waterford RTC . Miriam was a pleasure to having been part of that and on our group chat we continued to catch up and fill each other in on all that’s happened since . Her legacy remains and proudness of her family and grandchildren were always to the fore. Rest easy Miriam it was a pleasure that we met . Una ❤️

My condolences to Christopher and Miriam's family at this sad time. I met Miriam in Vietnam over 17 years ago and so started an annual reunion of the little group of us who met at that time. Miriam had such a love of life and passion for travel, she will be so sorely missed by us all.

We in the ISACS Network will miss her immensely. Miriam became the ISACS chairperson in 2019 bringing a wealth of expertise, fairness and integrity to the role.
Her passion for the importance of arts in context and arts for all shone strongly, through her work with Spraoi Waterford, the Arts Council and ourselves.
The ISACS members, team and board are immensely grateful to her for the work she did building on the recognition of these artforms and their contribution to Irish society across her life span.
She leaves a massive gap in our lives.

Just want to wish Chris and the rest of the family my deepest condolences, I am travelling at the moment so cannot attend the funeral but you will all be in my thoughts today. Mir was a wonderful person and she will be missed dearly by all her friends and family alike.

I was so sad to hear about Miriam. I have fond memories of our older cousin babysitting us in earlier years and remember all the laughs that were had at the annual Christmas quiz in the manor. Miriam was always in the middle of the 'organised chaos'. On the rare occasions I bumped into her at Spraoi or elsewhere in the last few years, she always had a lovely smile and greeting.

Miriam was an absolute gift to work with , whether Festivals, Events, Showcases, Conferences, Seminars, Networks . Behind the generous, gregarious & unmistakeable laugh lay a powerhouse of creativity , energy and discipline.
She was held in huge esteem at home and abroad - by Festival and Arts practitioners, as well as policy makers from her Red Kettle, Spraoi, AOIFE, IASCS chapters.
In all of my moments with her at the coalface – the way she radiated pure joy about- Christopher, his achievements and milestones was by far the most affecting.
May her memory be a source of solace and some blessing to all her family and very side circle of friends.

We met on a ferry to Liverpool in the early 80s and have so many happy memories of our trips to Anfield.
