I was so sorry to read of Miriam’s death.

I knew her a long time ago and liked her very much, in fact I think the name Darina came from my sister.

Once when I was working in Paris and she was based in Shannon we arranged to meet in London at Selfridges and have lunch. I was bringing documents over to BEA and she was coming from somewhere else.. Unfortunately it did not work out as I waited outside the main door and she was at the side door. No mobile phones in those days. They have their uses….

Again my deepest sympathy to you all. This is a lonely time. One is never prepared for the final parting.
