Will miss you forever KC
You really were the best - not your singing that was terrible
Thank you for being - just you, love you D H
So much fun, so much laughter, sail away my gorgeous friend xx
My deepest, and most heartfelt condolences to your family, and all of your friends. I just can’t believe you’ve been taken so soon, just doesn’t seem real.
You were always so kind to everyone, and no surprise you spent so much time looking after animals, caring was very much your nature.
The memories we shared as part of the same unique family of University students will always bring a smile to my face. But like any family we had the odd disagreement on the rugby pitch, but we always shrugged that off as soon as the final whistle was blown, in plenty of time to go for a few ‘scoops’, and a lively sing-song! These will be some of my happiest memories of you.
Sail away now friend. Nos da.x

Our Condolences to the Chisholm Family on the sad passing of Karen.Such a loss to you all and a huge loss to animal rescue, where she made such a difference to the lives of so many animals, that needed it so very much. May her kind & giving soul Rest In Peace.
So shocked to lose our new skipper before she had the chance to take the helm. We were looking forward to you finally being the boss and all the new adventures you had planned for us. Papillon was always the fun boat, the best boat for the craic and we all believed that this was going to be taken to a whole new level now. You loved the banter, the slagging, the name calling and introducing new friends to the joys of sailing. You were definetely one of a kind but the high esteem your friends had for you says a lot. Anyone who was as kind to animals and all kinds of strays not just the four legged kind will have a place in Heaven. Sail away now with PJ, I can hear you guys already, not too close to the shore Karen. Until we meet again xx.
Condolences to Veronica, Michael, Pauline, Dan and all who loved her, from your first mate and the Papillon Crew.
To Karen's Mother,Michael,Pauline & Dan,our deepest sympathy on her sad and untimely passing. May she rest in peace. Terry & Eilis McCann,Ballinclare,Leskinfere.

We will always remember you as kind, funny, welcoming, a nutter! You took us all under your wing at Bangor Uni. We had sooooo many giggles through rugby. Our special wee bond and joke too of me being from NI and us both knowing we didn't care, we just liked each other. This is just so sad and not real that you aren't here. You gave so much to humans and dogs, if we're all sensible we'll take a piece of your legacy and continue with kindness, fun, silliness, generosity and time for others. I can't believe it Karen! Take care up there and say hi every so often. Love ya xxxx
Condolences to all who loved Karen from Paula, Liz, Emma and Clare. We met Karen in our uni days and shared a house together. She was always hilarious but full of kindness to others. We have lots of good memories to treasure. We will miss her so much.
Michael we are all so very sad to hear that Karen has passed away, know that we are thinking of you all. Rest in peace Karen.
KC, where do I begin…from the moment we were put together on the back row of the RSPCA training room like two naughty schoolgirls, I knew I’d met a special one. I was so incredibly nervous starting the training and wondered if I was going to be up to it, but you really put my at ease and helped me more than you will ever know. Your love of animals and total dedication to improving their welfare has made such a huge difference to so many lives. You will always be one of the kindest, funniest, quick witted and genuine people I have had the honour of knowing. I just hope you know how loved you are by so many, you will be in my heart forever my beautiful friend. Rest easy now, and I hope you’re up there sailing through the skies with your Dad and the dogs xxx
I only got to know Karen at the start of the year, but she had quite a big impact on my life. She was an incredibly kind, generous, sweet and loving human being. The passion she had for the animals that she advocated for, and the 24 hour care she gave to her dad for months before he passed spoke volumes to her character. Her love of sailing never diminished, and the circle of friends she had is a testimony to how much she was loved. She was quick to smile and had a wonderful sense of humour. I feel incredibly lucky to have called her a friend if even for a short time. My deepest condolences to her friends and family who recognised how incredible she really was.
Very shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Karen. Our most recent conversation was arranging to meet up for a night out… and in the theme of the banter we had… Karen.. enjoy your forever freedom… 🤍 condolences to all of Karen’s family on your sad loss.
