Margaret, Colm, Ruth and Aoife, my sincere condolences. These words flow when I think of Moira; kind, intelligent, empathetic, informed, interested, musical, charming, beautiful, sparkling, attentive, grateful, artistic, linguistic, “always so with it” and much, much more. 11 years ago, Moira was kind enough to welcome me as her ‘Gardener’ but it was the great, warm chats with many cups of tea and, her apple tart just out of the oven, that made each and every visit so, so special. I will miss Moira so much. Rest In Peace.

Please accept my family’s most sincere condolences. I wanted to share with you how much Moira will be missed in the United States. Whenever she would visit, Moira always brought such warmth, kindness, and a terrific sense of fun. She would dance, tell great stories, and most importantly, make you feel like you were the most special person in the room. My cousins, siblings, and I all wanted to be in her presence. Her generosity of spirit will be remembered always, and now especially, when we come together for Thanksgiving. We send our love during this difficult time.

Having “Aunt Moira” in our lives was truly a gift. She was so very generous with her affection, kindness, thoughtfulness and wonderful stories. The many memories we are grateful to have of the times we spent with her in the US and Ireland are precious to us. Moira was truly a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed by all. Deepest sympathy on the passing of Moria . Our mother Mary Ita Shanahan ( nee McCarthy) was Moira’s cousin . She visited Barnagh many times over the years.

I worked with Moira in the Land Commission. I have fond memories of that time, in particular Moira's commitment and enthusiasm for the work and her patience in explaining the intricacies of the Land Acts to me. In more recent times it was always a pleasure to meet Moira. She was always so upbeat and positive, always willing to see the good in people. She was a woman of great Faith who I'm sure will receive a great welcome in heaven. Condolences to Margaret, David and their families on their sad loss.

We were so sorry to hear of Moira's death. She was a lovely lady and such a loyal friend to my mum Noreen and the Keating family. Mum and herself wete the best of friends for 80 years ! We loved when she visited our house in Clonmel There was a warmth and sense of fun about Moira. I have no doubt herself and mum are having a good natter right now!
She certainly was a proud adopted Ballylooby woman and always felt like a member of the extended Keating clan too!
We are so sorry we can't be with you to celebrate her life.
