Cathy we were so sorry to hear of your beautiful Mams passing. Its such a sad time for you and all your family. Moira was such a wonderful woman and will be sadly missed. May you take comfort in all the lovely memories you have of her. May she rest in peace.

When I think of my Nanny’s baby sister Moira I remember her glamour coming in the door in Greendale, Nanny would make a lovely spread and cakes Uncle Tom, Uncle Halley and sometimes uncle Des would be over from Birmingham, always a lovely afternoon listening to them talk and I would get to meet some of their own grand kids. The Duffy brothers adored their sisters and vice versa as they both named their children after one of them, I know now they had a rare sibling bond. I will always remember Moira as a blonde bombshell with perfect nails…such a softly spoken lady.I was always fascinated that she was my nanny’s sister and my nanny wasn’t just my nanny but a sister also. I know my nanny came down to visit her over the last few weeks, no doubt to organise her arrival with them all. She is with her gang now. Rest in peace Moira x
