I gave Moirty a lift into Mountrath a few weeks ago and we had great chats. He told me all about his son Martin, his time in Scotland, his love of fishing and more. We packed a lot into ten minutes. I was so shocked to hear of his passing. My sincere sympathy to all his family. He seemed like such a lovely man.
