My brother gary and myself lost our mother claire in 1980 she died suddenly from a brain hemorrhage when we were on holidays in salthill in Galway after that event mona carroll helped our dad to rear my brother gary because he was only a baby when his mother died and mona ended up caring for her best friends claires baby for about 12 years
