My Condolences

I had the pleasure of meeting Mona while a student and we were both hitching back from Dublin to Monaghan in 1982 we chatted for an hpur or so while we waited for a lift outside Ardee. I was in secondary school with her brother Dessie who used to share his sandwiches with me whenI was a boarder in St Macartans's so we hadlots to talk about between that and college life. She was a really lovely person and though our paths never crossed again thememory of her remains fresh in my mind.I was very sorry to hear of her passing

Mona and I shared such nice times when I lived near you and she was full of fun and joy--- a lovely and decent person. My thoughts are winging there way to you from the USA. May your rest be peaceful Mona --- so sad and too soon.

There are no words of consolation at such a tragic loss to all of the Clarke, Duffy and extended family and friends. But the hope that somehow the good Lord will comfort and help you cope with this unbelievable loss.

Thinking of you all at this, the saddest of times. I knew Mona briefly as we shared training weekends in Dublin over the past year. She was a ray of light, such a sensitive soul. A great loss to the world, to her friends, her students, but most of all to the family she loved so much. Rest in peace, Mona.
